Ginette Soulieres
President, G&EM Emergency Management Consulting and Training
Ginette Soulieres is the founding President of G&EM Emergency Management Consulting and Training. She is a seasoned expert with more than 19 years of experience working with the healthcare, cultural, education, public and private sectors. Known as a dynamic leader, mentor and trainer she has enhanced the emergency management programs, capacity and capability of many organizations and Ontario region. Ginette has the expertise to develop, plan, implement and lead the programs your organization needs.
Ginette possesses strong capacity for leading, managing and coordinating concurrent multi-disciplinary programs. She has a natural talent for working with a diversity of professional teams and stakeholders, service providers and clients. She excels at managing change and identifying increased efficiency opportunities while taking into account the client?s needs and priorities with regards to
human resources and financial capacity.
Currently, in her role and capacity as Manager, Centennial College, School of Community and Health Studies, Emergency Management and Public Safety Institute (EMPSI), Ginette has established the EMPSI Steering Committee, held a Strategic Planning Session. Recently launched the EMPSI Institute and developed a four year's 2011 - 2015 EMPSI Strategic Plan.
Under the CRTI Project 08 - 0180TD, currently, Ginette Soulieres is the Director French Language Adaptation and Public Sector Engagement.
Most recently, she completed a five year contract with the Health Care Network of Southeastern Ontario. As the Regional Incident Management Coordinator (IMC) for seven hospitals, the regional Community Care Access Centre and three public health units, Ginette led the strategic development of the new comprehensive Regional Emergency Management and Business Continuity Program. Her expertise and leadership have enhanced the emergency response preparedness to wide-scale healthcare critical incident in Southeastern Ontario.
Before starting G&EM Emergency Management, Ginette had a successful career working with the federal public service. Her positions included corporate nationwide Disaster and Emergency Management Administrator and provisional Acting Director, Accommodation and Security Services of the Library and Archives Canada with the Library and Archives Canada (formerly the National Archives of Canada and National Library of Canada); and the Environmental and Facilities Planning Coordinator and Manager for the Newspapers, Official Publications and Periodical Collections of the National Library.
A respected speaker and lecturer, she presents emergency management and business continuity seminars and lectures at national industry conferences, universities and colleges in Ontario and Quebec. In addition, Ginette is well known for her work as the Lead Organizer of the 2005 & 2006 Annual Southeastern Ontario Emergency Preparedness Symposiums and the 2007 Regional Heat Wave Tabletop Exercises.
